Idea for PvP only builds?
This may be tremendously stupid.
Could, say, every skill be given a value. With a PVP character, you start out with a certian number of credits that can be used to purchase skills(Skills bought with these credits arent unlocked for all characters.). This is enough to give you a mid level character. Then, as you play PvP, you earn more credits. These credits are used similarly to the first credits you get when you first create your character, except they unlock skills for all characters. I figure, this saves PvP from having to do PvE, and it keeps PvE from being cheapened by skills being handed over. As far as runes go, there could be random rewards for winning so many matches in a row in diffrent PvP style matches... Sometimes runes, sometimes wepons... Guild Wars is one of the best games Ive ever played, and while I am more of a PvEer, I can see the PvPers point to some extent. I don't think it is right that you should be able to create uber characters from the start, but I think that a game that is so PVP based, should have a system where PvPers don't have to invest several hundered hours PvEing for a good character. |

I agree with the idea and I beleive it to be one of the better comprmises reached between PvP and PvE chars. But that said I'm sure that someone will come along and bash this idea for some reason that I havent thought of yet.

Great idea! I would love to see this implemented, but could also perhaps earn credits as you gain XP. That way you are not required to win the match to get credits. Other than that I fully support this idea! I would love to play more PvP and try out other builds but as I only have one char that has advanced about halfway through the game I have a very limited set of skills to play with, and can't even tough the other professions. Unless I go with a prebuild, which is what I've been trying to do...:?
